I have created these cards using colours inspired from some wild flowers we picked in the bush nearby.  These cards use the same colours in two different ways.  On the left you see the colours creating a sponged background effect with the poppies coloured over the top with Poppy Parade. The card to the right uses the colours to create colourful flowers in the foreground. Having a stash of many messages embossed in white on black is great way to have a quick sentiment ready to go.  I love that you can use the same stamp and ink and create varied cards.  One goal for me this month is to make a card and send a card, so starting today I am going to get a card in the mail :)

Hi I am back again for another month with the awesome Let's Get Hopping team. This month we are looking at Fabulous Florals.  When flicking through the catalogues there is certainly plenty of options when it comes to florals, be it stamps, designer series paper, or dies you have a wide range to choose from. The True Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) with it's striking black and white imagery can create elegant and dramatic cards, provide opportunities for colouring techniques and be used as beautiful decor.    I have created the following card using a pull out fun fold card I saw by Sharon Armstrong. I feel this card showcases the DSP's versatility with the monochromatic background and the pop of colour statement image. I just love the black and white look of the many messages labels and the Matt black dots finish off the look of elegance.                               ...

Hi I am Elizabeth and I have recently joined the Let’s Get Hopping Crew. I am fairly new to blogging but am wanting to learn and I am sure I will get better with more practice. I have however been a demonstrator for 6 years now and love to create using Stampin’ Up! Products.  The theme for this month's blog hop is Punch It. I knew right away I wanted to use the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch . However, I wanted to push myself to use this in a non-card project.  As I was making my husband’s birthday cake I began thinking about all of the birthday themes my children have had through the years and all of the fun cakes I had as a child. One memory in particular popped to mind ‘ICE CREAM CAKE’ I haven’t had one in years and I think I might have to go buy one! Valentines Day is on Sunday in New Zealand ❤️ Here is the Valentine card I have made for my special man using the Hey Girlfriend Stamp Set, A Touch Of Ink Stamp Set, the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Resin Hearts, the Stitched Be Mine Framelits and Watercolour Pencils.  I have fussy cut the girl out of Whisper White Cardstock and coloured her in with the Watercolour Pencils and gently blended with a Blender Pen. I then used dimensionals to raise her off the page a little as well as the stitched heart behind her.  I love this Embossing Folder I have used it a lot! I love the look you get when you add a touch of colour using the blending brushes and the texture it gives.
